Dato’ Derrick Fernandez
Dato’ Derrick Fernandez is a highly respected industry figure and qualified chartered accountant, with over 30 years’ experience that includes top positions in leading regional and global financial institutions.
Following a 20 year tenure which incorporated a variety of senior roles at Standard Chartered Bank, he went on to become part of the pioneering team that established Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad, eventually taking the role of Senior General Manager of Danaharta Managers Sdn Bhd. Dato’ Derrick’s extensive experience led to him being selected as a member of the Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee (CDRC) at Bank Negara Malaysia.
He retired as the Chief Credit Officer of RHB Bank Bhd in March 2004, following the successful introduction and implementation of various key credit initiatives to reform the bank’s credit risk management systems and processes. He has served on the Board of a number of public and private corporations in Malaysia and Singapore, before setting up Sage 3 in 2005.

Datuk Mohd Anwar Yahya
Datuk Mohd Anwar Yahya is a former Partner, Senior Director/Adviser at PwC Malaysia, and brings more than 25 years’ of financial project management experience to Sage.
He has extensive experience servicing a wide range of industries, from real estate to utilities and financial services. He has developed a comprehensive industry network thanks to his excellent reputation for work in policy advice, corporate finance and strategy that spans over 500 consultancy projects. His time at PwC Malaysia included substantial financial and business advisory work. Alongside his role as Executive Director at Sage 3, he also currently serves on the Board of Directors for several public and private corporations in Malaysia.

Ravindran brings over 30 years of experience to Sage 3. He previously held the position of Director of Financial Service of PwC as well as General Manager of Corporate Finance for Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Bhd. Before setting up Sage 3 he held the role of Chief Information Officer for Bursa Malaysia (formerly the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange).
His subject matter excellence, out of the box thinking and substantial experience led to Ravindran being referred by The World Bank to assist with the foundation and establishment of one of the four largest Chinese asset management companies, China Cinda Asset Management Co, Ltd (CINDA). His international record contributes considerable consulting experience from the UK, Singapore and China to his clients and partners at Sage 3.

Philip brings 25 years’ of extensive accounting, corporate, banking, and financial experience to the team at Sage 3. His tenure at leading global financial institutions including Rothschilds, KBC Bank and Rabobank, has helped develop comprehensive understanding and expertise in equity fundraising, restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions, with his last held position as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions SEA for Rabobank.
Philip began his career at Touche Ross, London, before moving to join DBS Group in Singapore. He later went on to enjoy 9 years at Rothschild in Singapore and Hong Kong, actively involved in a range of corporate finance transactions, eventually moving to KBC Bank in Singapore where he was the Senior Vice-President, Head of Investment Banking SEA.
More recently, Philip worked closely with one of Indonesian’s leading conglomerates, providing key corporate strategy and financing consultation alongside detailed financial analysis and management. His extensive industry understanding offers a significant benefit to clients and partners of Sage 3.

Davin brings valuable expertise gained in key positions at Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad, now Maybank Investment Bank, to his position with Sage 3. His extensive experience managing corporate transactions includes several substantial deals, demonstrating the significant marketing understanding he offers to clients of Sage 3. His experience includes advice in successfully navigating one of the country’s first selective capital repayment (SCR) deals for a client in Malaysia.
In his time with the company, Davin has successfully closed a number of corporate restructuring and fund-raising exercises, ensuring positive results for Sage 3’s clients in key areas of corporate financial restructuring and transactions, as well as on areas of retail investment trusts.

Dato’ Dr Zaha Rina Zahari
Sage 3 are also honoured to benefit from the impressive expertise of Dato’ Dr Zaha Rina Zahari, bringing her exemplary corporate and financial experience as an advisor to the company.
In a career that includes a remarkable array of achievements, Dato’ Dr Zaha can boast her role in setting up the Bahrain Financial Exchange (BFX), as well as being instrumental in the merger of the Monetary Exchange Malaysia (COMMEX) and the Kuala Lumpur Options and Financial Futures Exchange (KLOFFE), leading to the creation of the modern Malaysia Digital Enterprise Exchange (MDEX).
Alongside these extraordinary accomplishments, Dato’ Dr Zaha has held positions as the Chief Executive Officer of RHB Securities, Head of Exchange for Bursa Malaysia Berhad, and Chief Operating Officer at the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange (MDEX). She has also held a number of board positions and directorships across a diverse range of respected global and regional financial institutions, as well as being a highly sought-after thought leader and speaker on topics relating to corporate investment and finance.

Andrew is a London School of Economics graduate, and an ICAEW chartered accountant. His international experience includes 7 years with EY London where he was involved in several major transactions across the corporate finance spectrum including, corporate restructuring, capital and debt advisory and transaction modelling. Andrew is a recognised expert in transaction modelling and builds robust models which are readily accepted by various stakeholders, i.e. clients, counter parties, financiers and regulators. His ability to present and convince stakeholders on the merits of a transaction coupled with strong project management skills provides exceptional execution and high successful completion rates.
Notable transactions completed include the successful restructuring of the largest private hospital operator in the UK, and the financial restructuring of the largest pure-play Offshore Support Vessel company in Malaysia.
